What should you do if you have one or more stained notes?
Compare your note with those displayed on the poster. If it does not look like an accidental stain but rather what you see on the poster, there is a chance it is a stained note.
Take the following steps:
• Go to a branch of your bank or post office or, if necessary, to the counter at the Banque de France to make a written statement on the nature and cause of the degradation.
This will allow the Banque de France to carry out the necessary analysis, after which it can proceed with the reimbursement, provided that the staining has not been triggered by an anti-theft device and that it does not prevent the authentication of the ticket.
